    Hi there.

I need to know what is the exact name i should use to rename the 4810TZG bios file to perform an emergency bios flashing for my girlfriend's Acer 4810TGZ which no longer boots.

I know that i must follow these steps (I have and Acer Aspire One and experience doing this procedure):

1-Download official Acer Aspire 4810TZG bios package: http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/downloads_gd.html
2-Format an USB thumb drive in FAT32 and put there all the bios package content.
    3-Rename the GPC_V135.bin bios file to idontknowwhatisit.fd
4-Insert the thumbdrive in one of the laptop's USB slot
5-Press and hold Fn+Esc keys while powering on. Check that USB thumbdrive led is blinking.
6-Wait for the emergency flashing process to finish and the reboot of the laptop.
    7-Make a girl happy with a working computer :)

So all i need is the correct name in the 3rd step.

If anyone knows it, please tell me.

    Thank you :)

Hi again. I just tried with those 2 names, in different pendrives (FAT32 and FAT16) and nothing.

I'm starting to think that this is not a problem which can be solved performing an emergency bios flashing.

When connected to power supply, the laptop's led is always blinking, the same occurs when powering on with battery. The fan is full power and doesn't stop.

Any clues? The laptop stopped working from one day to another.

I am having the same problem but with a 4810TZ.

Have you figured out what the file name could be?

Also, it did work for me at first I went to the bios and all of that but then I didn't know you had to wait so I thought it didn't work and I took it out so I think now that might have screwed it up? Anybody know? Cause now it isn't working at all with the same method that worked before.
