does anybody knows how to increase the voltage of the GPU??
it would be really great if anybody can increase the voltage of the GPU.....
G 105M GPU users will can hit 1GHz if anybody can increase the voltage....

    Thank You :)

Your graphics is soldered onto the motherboard meaning its bios is integrated into the system bios.

You would have to extract your system bios, unpackage it, find the bios file, open it in Nibitor, try changing the core voltage, save it to the same named file, repackage the bios and flash it to your system and hope it does not die.

Nope, that's something you are going to have to find out. There are others on this forum who have done similar things.

I have extracted your BIOS and found your VBIOS can run up to 1.2v. Can you confirm your current 3D voltage by checking GPUZ?

Do you have the recovery method ready? There may be a way to 1.27v but I'm not sure if it works.

That or the BIOS has reached it's limit and you need to do a hardware vmod to increase voltage.

    lol.... not yet...... :D
but i know it will work because i researched about bois recovering couples of weeks and everybody says it work..... i have all the recovery files in my computer..... i know it has a very high risk in bricking the laptop...... so, don't worry........

EDIT: how many GPU voltmod have you done??

Best test it out first as you don't know for sure if it's going to work.

I've done both the R1 and R2 GT335M mods and have the R3 GT540M mod ready, just waiting for the recovery method and testers. I'm working on a vmod on the R2 GPU/CPU voltage regulators (they're both the same chips !!).

is 1.27V is the highest you can edit??
can i use a thumb drive instead of a floppy for the recovery??
do you have the software to make the recovery disk?? i'm not sure that mine will work......

It appears 1.27v is the highest that I can edit.

A thumb drive can be used instead of a floppy.

There is no software for the recovery disk- it's just placing a specially named system BIOS file onto the USB and pressing a key combination to activate the recovery process for Insyde BIOS.

i know what key to press to start the recovery process (Fn+Esc).....
dose anybody failed to flash using your modded bios??(ie: m11x r1 and r2)
i saw the thread that you can increase the voltage of GT335M by .05V on m11x r1,r2........

if you give me the file, do i need to flash it using DOS??

I don't know of anybody who failed to flash the modded R1 and R2 BIOS once testing was finished.

You don't flash it using DOS, you use the provided Insyde Flasher utility inside Windows.

I think it's a good idea to ask Mavke about the VBIOS maximum voltage.

Here is the BIOS. I was wrong, you have to use DOS to flash the BIOS. I still suggest you test the recovery method first. The usual disclaimer applies, you are responsible for your own actions.

I'm not too sure about how to flash the BIOS in DOS. I guess it's done like this:
    1. Create a DOS bootable USB drive
    2. Run FLA$HIT.EXE
    3. If that doesn't work, type in "FLA$HIT.EXE KALG0208.fd", you may need to add -f to force the flash.

    Replace $ with S.

Actually to be honest I don't think overvolting is a good idea because G105M is a low end graphics.
Assuming you could overclock with unlimited potential, you would probably need to OC it until the GPU melt through the Chassis and it will still not perform comparably to high end graphics.
    Just my opinion.

    @weinter
its okay...... i rarely play games on my laptop :D
btw i have made my own cooler...... it decreases my laptop temp more than 10C
link: YouTube - Homemade Laptop Cooler

    @DavyGT
thanks for the BIOS mod and teaching me how to use DOS flashing :)

    EDIT:
    @DavyGT
    the flash cannot be opened
    i wrote "C:\DOS\fla$hit.exe KALG0208.fd -f"
it says This FD file can not open.
    then i try another method,
    i wrote "C:\DOS\fla$hit.exe KALG0208.fd /fe /b"
    it shows same message too.......
    how to solve this problem??

    replace $ to s

If your laptop uses Insyde BIOS find the insyde bios recovery method.
Get the original working BIOS file make sure it has the correct recovery filename
    eg. YYYYX64.fd
Then copy it to to a FAT formatted thumbdrive with the flasher utilities.
Plug it in then Fn+Esc+Power button.
You should see flashing lights wait for it to finish.
If you hear the fan spining and the thumbdrive flashing do not unplug the thumbdrive wait for it to complete.
If unsure wait for 1/2 hour before attempting to unplug it.
As I said you shouldn't mod the VGA BIOS because the tiny bit of performance boost isn't worth the giant effort you need to put it.

Erm I meant you need to activate emergency BIOS recovery not boot to Windows.
Hold Down Fn + Esc then press and release the power button wait for a while then release the Fn + Esc

i just copy KALG0208.exe (Insyde windows flashing utility) into my flash drive and launch the program manually without looking anything on the screen.....
    i just use a keyboard..... :)
maybe i need to find the GPU voltage regulator myself.... :D

I think it is not worth it because the G105 M has very little Streaming Processors raising Clockspeed will not boost performance by much.
