I have a HD failure on my Aspire 9410Z, and have to exchange the HD. The originally HD is a 5400 Rpm type.
Cane somebody tell me if I put a 7200 rpm HD type, will this provide me a better genaral performance of the laptop or will this not make any performance difference.

    Best regards,
    Vic

For the price increase, not that much difference...7200s sometimes have heat issues and will also make a difference on the available battery time

    Thx for the reply.
Then I put back a 5400 rpm, because for approximately the same has price, (less than 2% more expensively) I have
    500Gb (5400rpm) instead of 320Gb (7200rpm)
Looking at to the specs of 7200rpm, the power consumption is equivalent to a 5400rpm type. But, I am also a little afraid of heat issues. And if the performance profit is negligible, then I think the 5400rpm is a better choose.

    Best Regards, Vic
