    Hi,
I have been looking for laptops and narrowed my search to ACER AS5112WLMi. It seems to have all the features I am looking for.

I am in US and cannot find this in retail stores. I would like to know if anyone has experience using this laptop and have any comments.... specifically on the following:

    1) I want to see the laptopn before buying just to get an idea of all the features.Did you come across any retail stores in US that carry this laptop?

    2) I do not use it for gaming. Does the laptop get too hot after 1 hour of usage?

    3) Any other pros or cons that you wish to share

    Thanks much !

Erm, do you shop online? you can usually get better deals online and get better customisations.

    READ MY THREADS about 5112...

    Answers:
    1) JR.com still has that..
    2) Not Hot for Me. Even when gaming, it's 65C max (which is warm for me :D )
    3) READ MY MINI-REVIEW :p

It's not the best deal currently though..

I am still using the model that I revewed on this site. I got mine for under $1100 CDN in October (post back-to-school sale). I don't know where you can get one that cheap anymore.

Occasionally I look at what is out on the market and I still can't believe the good deal I got. I extend the MCE experience with an Xbox 360 and an HDTV and I am very happy.

The only time I find mine to be hot is when I block the vents.

I will probably update the review when my Vista upgrade comes.
