    Hi,

I purchased this AMD Athlon x2 64 laptop. It has a Hitachi 160GB hard drive which is specified on the Net as SATA.

However Vista Device Manager shows it as an IDE ATA and the latest BIOS, v1.18 does not have any option to switch between IDE compatibility and AHCI mode.

    Any idea what's going on?

    Thanks.
