    Extensa 5420 Wont boot

    Ok my friends acer extensa 5420 notebook will not boot up to bios or the acer screen i get nothing i turn on the power i hear it acess the hdd and the cdrom and the cpu fan even kicks on but i get a black screen and it dies in about 15 seconds and then restarts trys again and dies in about 10 seconds so far i have tried pulling the batter depressing the power button for thirty seconds plugging the ac power in and booting without the battery tried it with the battery i even took apart the notebook pulled the cmos battery for about 30 seconds ive tried pulling ram out and replacing it still the same results it did this once before and i turned it off and on about 30 times and it finnaly loaded just fine and worked for about a week then it dies again its about to make me insane lol so any help would be great

    You might have to do a factory restore .... but if there's data on the drive, you will have to remove the hd and put it in a usb enclosure, connect it to another system to copy off the files.

    it wont boot from cd i cant to a factory restore i cant even get to the bios before it dies im pretty sure its not a software problem
