    Extensa 5620z erecovery issue

    Hello, i recently purchased an Extensa 5620z. I had to reinstall windows xp after a crash using erecovery and now i noticed that erecovery is missing.I checked the apllications cd and its not there.I also noticed that i could not find it in the acer site as part of the model's utilities.But it was there and i had used it.What should i do?

    Which erecovery version works with this model.I used this version eRecovery 1.2.15.1. ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/notebook/empowering_technology/utility/tmc200/ but it did not work.

    There are these left

    *eRecovery_ManagementV2.0.2021.zip
    *erecovery_1.2.14.5.zip

    I am afraid the pc will crash.The shop owner i got it from is on vacation.

    How did you do it ?

    Boot menu , or from the DVD that you had burn ?

    I had kept backup dvd disks by using e-recovery but the application was not even in the application backup itself backed up.I am incredibly confused.

    Be patient , until to get professional help .

    Many people get confused by the erecovery software , and did not produce the correct ACER recovery DVD.

    Tip .... if you have any partitions with NTFS turn it back to FAT32 .
    And try again.

    The real thing are bootable , with the windows XP - but usable only for this laptop , and has also all the drivers and software.

    I will write one guide soon , as i had work with it , and now i know how it works.

    I repair computers , thats my job.

    The real problem is i cant find which recovery app is the correct one to install from the Acer site.

    I had searched the ACER site for you , currently there in no listed application for your model.

    But be aware , if you have format your hard drive by your self ... the erecovery application will not help .

    The erecovery application is a bridge , between the Acer files from the hidden Acer partition and you .

    If you have lost the files , the application will be an empty shell at your hands.

    I dont get how the pc could have had the utility before if its not in the Acer site.Was it added by the seller himself using another version or was it in another original cd ? But then it should be in the site as well.....

    I actually want to have the erecovery installed in this pc as well ,i dont plan to recover it right now.

    Ok then , you have destroy the erecovery files , there is nothing that you can do.
