This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     External Monitor problems

    Hey Guys
    I have a problem with my Acer Aspire 3610. When i connect it to an external monitor/projector....i see the windows xp logo...and the disk checking screen...and after that the screen goes blank on the external monitor. I tried using the button that switches the display betweeen the actual screen and the external monitor...but it doesnt work...as far as i can think...my laptop stops giving the signal to the external monitor..cuz just before the screen goes blank...i hear a weird sound...this has happened with more than one monitor...so its definetly the laptop
