I have recently been on holiday and took my Acer Aspire 3053 with me.
I found that i had to keep charging the battery which was a pain.

Someone else also had a laptop - HP i think it was and he had an ` external battery charger` which he was charging a spare battery.

I have searched the net but cannot find such a thing as an `external laptop battery charger`.

I would really like to have a spare battery and an external charger for my Aspire 3053.
Anyone who knows where or can advise me on this would be great.
    Thanks.

http://store.jcbarn.com/exbachsforac11.html - store in Georgia, but from Taiwan - accepts PayPal.

I couldn't find any reviews, but this seems to be the place with the best prices. Amazon also has some thru other stores. http://www.amazon.com/Battery-External-Standalone-Travelmate-batteries/dp/B001DT3S38/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1232294879&sr=8-1

also http://mlcomp.com/index.php - store in Northern California, made in Taiwan - accepts PayPal.

I would love to see a review or report from someone that has used. I'm going to be staying in a little camper for a bit so charging the spare battery at the same time as the one in the laptop would help. My laptop will be my television. I'd hate for it to die just before NCIS ends :D

After my reponse this am, I've been doing research and decided to go with an universal power pack instead of an extra battery with external charger. I think I'm going with the Tekkeon mp3450 or mp 3700 http://www.tekkeon.com/products-mypowerall.html mostly because I can use it for other things - phone, gps, other usb stuff. If something happens to the laptop, it will be usable with what ever new laptop I get.
