I have seen this problem posted a few times and i have had the same problem over the last few days after removing vista and installing xp. I have installed all the drivers including the wireless drivers but still no wireless. Anyway, after searching everywhere I found the fix. it had nothing to do with the drivers at all, after me removing them and re installing them.I did post the problem on here but still no good.
Right, if you go to device manager and right click on the wireless device , properties, advanced, power save mode, and change to off. mine was on maximum power save. So after installing xp it must go to maximum power save automatically. After days of pulling my hair out , this was all that was wrong. Hope this helps anyone.
