    I see same thing in vista and xp, and i'm using 169.1 driver.

    You are still getting 30FPS at worst. That is still a very playable speed. I really would not worry if I were you.

    It's in Doom and Tomb, but in oblivion i've got 15 fps in such situations.

    Oblivian is more resource demanding game.BTW i got your PM ;)

    Make sure your card is not over heating + some drivers have above problem ,so try different drivers :cool:

    I'm not expert, but I can speak from experience of FPS games:

    Smoke has always killed my framerate on my desktops, let alone on my laptop. I know exactly why you are asking people about this, because I'm the same! It really bugs me when the screen just starts stuttering like that...
