Last night I tried to update the bios to 3238 but it froze on block 6. After a long wait i unplugged AC and battery to get it to turn off.

While staying up to 3am trying to fix it i tried the crisis usb key and bios after about 20min i turned the laptop off again by pulling the AC and the battery.

Know it wont even turn on. If i plug in the AC the AC light comes on but nothing happens all all. What can i do just to get it to turn back on to try recovery again.

This is a Phoenix BIOS, right?

6930-6067 is the full number. I believe it is a Phoenix bios but to be honest im not 100%.

This is really sucking because i have flashed many other computers before and this is my first problem with flashing a Bios.

    But thanks for the help.

If it is Phoenix, then you need an USB floppy drive. A flash drive won't work - the BIOS requires the recovery media to be a 1.44MB floppy.

First, you should not just compress the file - you need to make the crisis disk using the Wincris utility (make sure you enable the compression feature in Wincris). A hand-crafted recovery disk will never work with Phoenix BIOS.

Once that is done, do the following:
    1. Disconnect the battery and the charger.
    2. Plug in the USB floppy drive, with the crisis disk inside.
    3. Press and hold Fn+Esc.
    4. Plug in the charger.
    5. Still holding Fn+Esc, press the power button. Fan should spin up.
    6. Release Fn+Esc and wait until the computer shuts down or reboots.

My machine's a 6930g and I needed a working recovery solution before I edited my bios.

I use a Sandisk Cruzer Titanium 2 gig USB Flash drive. There's a link at the bottom of that post that has the recovery files I used, you just need to add your BIOS.WPH

Edit: Powering on with Fn+Esc will only work if your flash attempt didn't destroy you bios boot block.

Hmm. Apparently not all Phoenix BIOSes are as stubborn as the 5920G.

(And it is even from the same ODM, Quanta.)
