    hey guys is the laptop fan meant to be running continuously or should it pause now and then because thats what mine is doing
    laptop shuts down from heating

    The fan shouldn't be working all the time if the system is working properly however if the system is overheating the fan should be spinning like crazy all the time. Have you tried cleaning the heatsink grill and fan?

    Yes the problem started after i cleaned it :p

    It's weird because now it shuts down more often than when there was a lot of dust.

    The temperatures for the CPU are constant they never deviate not even by a degree which makes me think something is wrong.

    Im not sure if the problem is because of my fiddling with the laptop or bios upgrade from 1.06 to 1.20

    However the laptop doesnt 'feel' hot when i touch around like it did before.. yet it shuts down so im really lost
