    Hi,

just recently I got a Acer Aspire 3630, 1.5Ghz Celeron with 1gb ram. I will use this as a WHS (fileserver) in combination with my 1tb external USB drive.

One thing i did notice, is how much noise the thing makes! I'm pretty sure that the noise comes from the CPU fan.

This is why I want to either:
    1. Remove the fan, and replace it with a heatsink?
    2. Replace the fan with something less noisy?

Anyone tried it? Or have a suggestion for compatible parts that might work?

    Regards
    Lasse
