I just did a recovery from my recovery CDs. Now, is there an easy way of deleting all the silly games and trial software? The last time I did this, I went to the control panel and did it one by one. Hopefully there is a better approach.

Nope- that's the only approach (that I know of). Luckily it won't take more than 10 min.

I just went down the list and nuked everything that I didn't like :)
Anyway- it takes less time than updating drivers especially if you need to look for them as the ones provided by Acer are usually a bit dated to say the least.

Try PC Decrapifier it makes it a little easier...

Or you could make yourself a bootable USB with a clean ISO from Microsoft

A clean ISO from MS? Not sure what that means exactly. Some utility items from Acer I like (not backup).

The clean OS is the same OS with none of the extras? And I would have to add the drivers myself?

What capacity USB memory stick would I need?

Regarding the games, see if Fullremove.exe which is located in C:\ProgramData does the job for you. I myself spotted it too late, so I couldn't try myself.
Me too. IMO, this is the safest method.

The De-Crapifier isn't worth using. It uses the softwares' uninstallers and they need careful manual intervention to avoid rebooting and then starting the decrapifier again.
