Can anyone tell me what 802.11 chip does the Ferrari 4000 use?
It seems that Acer support/downloads has drivers from both Broadcom and Atheros, kind of confusing....
Thanks...

Cltang,
Since you bought the notebook, you should know if it's an 802.11 A/B/G capable card or if it's just an 802.11 B/G card. The Atheros driver is for the A/B/G capable card and the Broadcom is for the one that is only has B/G support.

Oh, I haven't bought it yet,
I was just researching what hardware it has, to assure Linux support....
I know of the madwifi sourceforge project making a Linux Atheros driver,
but not sure of Broadcom chips....
Ferrari 4000 WLAN chip...
