Catalyst control centre has alot of resolutions available for my acer aspire 1690
notebook, but no 1024 x 600, or 1280 x 600 in options, which I had originally when I bought this notebook brand new. After I had to do a recovery on it, it did Not come with the original ati drivers, which at that time there was no such thing as CCC, but had 1024 x 600, or 1280 x 600 these display options on it.

I tried installing Intel graphics media driver ,but says it will not install because of
my specs, I have 128mg graphics, so I dont understand why not.

What is the native resolution of your notebook?

Just curious why you'd want to run it at a non-native resolution if that's what you're trying to do.

I had always used 1024 x 600 this resolution previuosly. If I use a different one ,my photos look distorted and the outlines look crap.

I have been advised of a driver modder (on another forum) to use to enable this resolution.

The resolution of your monitor shouldn't affect the resolution of a photo unless the resolution of the monitor is actually lower than the photos (I think). Is 1024x600 some sort of weird low res widescreen? A higher resolution should actually make things look better.
