    Heya all,

I was looking around the Acer site, trying to find the notebook that is closest in specs to the HP zv5000z for comparison. The closest I could find, is either the Aspire 1350 or the Ferrari 3200(?). I don't see any options to customize these - are these set configs, or is there a place to customize the specs, that I'm just not seeing on the site?
The specs of the zv5000z are as follows:
Athlon XP-M or Athlon 64 CPU (from 2800 to 3700)
    15.0" or 15.4" screen
    256MB - 2GB ram
64MB GeForce 440 Go video card (dedicated)
    40GB - 100GB HD
DVD, Combo Drive, or DVD burner
LAN, wireless, or wireless w/ Bluetooth
8 or 12 cell Lithium Ion battery
    optional built-in floppy drive

I am curious, from those that know, what Acer notebook is the closest to these specs, customizable, and where I could look at it to compare.

    Thanks a bunch - cheers,

    Stevo

Closest to those specs with out a doubt would be the
    Acer Aspire 1521lmi http://www.google.com/search?a&q=1521lmi
    Acer Aspire 1521lci http://www.google.com/search?a&q=1521lci

Problem is these notebooks are not officialy released yet!

Best value I have yet seen so far in notebooks _bar none_ are the new Acer Aspire 1362lci and Acer Aspire 1362wlmi-xpp models. Pure Value built with Acers new Folio quality design/chassis.

Ferrari 3200 and soon 3400 is also a good choice but is a step above what you are comparing with. Though alittle more expensive they have incredible value. Missing no features.

Acer however does not unlike HP/Compaq offer any notebooks with UXGA resolution or 12 Cell battery.

    Hope this helps!
