    Hello again,

I'm probably not the first to say how horrendous the Canadian Bilingual keyboard layout is. And on this AS5742G which I bought for some good gaming, that's just inexcusable.

I've been looking around online for replacement keyboard with a US generic layout, however a whole lot of them look exactly the same as this one on my laptop, but don't state that they are explicitly compatible with my system 5742g. Also, I found one keyboard version that IS compatible but is overpriced, and it's also compatible to a multitude of other AS5/7000 series laptops. here it is

My question is, can I assume that any keyboard which is compatible for other Acers in this list that's co-compatible with the keyboard for my laptop, is compatible with my laptop? They sure look exactly the same, I just hope their thicknesses/connectivity are the same too.

    Thanks all.

For example, the most obvious ones would be keyboards for 5740/5741, e.g. this

Would it not then be compatible with the new line of 5742/G's?
