    Hi,

Sorry if this is a repost, I've searched google and the NBR search with all the query strings I can come up with!!!

I've had my 4810TZ for about 3 months now, it came installed with Vista at the time and I removed that and upgraded to W7.

Anyways the issue I'm having is I've never been able to get the gestures working. I can't zoom or scroll vertical/horizontal.

So I'm trying to see if I missed installing some touchpad software after I installed Windows 7. But I can't find any information regarding the manufacturer of the touchpad.

    So I've done the following:

    1. Used HWiNFO32 (hardware information program) to find more details regarding the touchpad; no luck.
    2. I've tired to install some Syanptics drivers and they don't work; error message on installation saying "the laptop lacks required hardware".
    3. Then I tired some Alps drivers (v12), they installed, but the touchpad started lagging and functioning different, it almost felt wrong. I reasoned that these were the wrong drivers, due to the destructive nature of the drivers.

Would anyone know how to find the manufacturer or knows who is the manufacturer of the touchpad for an Acer Timeline 4810TZ?

Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you.

    -M.

Err I can't seem to find it in there, but I figured the problem out myself and installed the latest drivers from Synaptics and they work fine.

Sorry, you can close or delete this thread now :)

    Thanks,
