For some reason, my ACER 8930G is no longer scanning any fingers. I've tried to go into the Bio Protection settings. Everytime I swipe my finger nothing happens, not an X or an O. It seems wierd that it just stopped working. Does it make a difference if you are running the laptop in power saver, balanced or high performance???
Bit annoyed that it's gave up on me after only 5 days.

HP uses a different FP software but ..I've had that happen. Try a reboot and see if that fixes the problem. If not I guess you need support from Acer.
