Is there any way to change the sounds?
I tried to find the wav files (or other media) but could not find them.

I did find a way to disable them, but that was not the question ;-)

Has anyone found out a way to modify the acer bio protection sounds?

I think they might be binary in customres.dll (custom resources?)
but before I start experimenting, perhaps someone already knows the answer :p

p.s. the logon sound is not the issue, windows can handle that
I just don't like the default recognized/error sounds

    thanks in advance

It turns out I couldn't wait and that I was right.

I used Resource Tuner 1.99 to 'hack' the sound and the logon image.
    For the sounds: customres.dll
For the ugly logon image (top left corner): CompPtcVUI.exe

The free 30 day trial at download.com did all the hard work :p
    Enjoy hacking the resources :D
