So this is very interesting. This is the first laptop that is now available to buy and has the Geforce GT 240M GPU (40nm, 48 shaders, DX10.1, 128bit, 23W) with 1GB RAM (DDR2 or DDR3).
You can find it in Germany for almost €800 here
    1,
    2,
    3,
    4,
    5, and here
    6
The GPU memory probably is DDR2 otherwise the price wouldn't have been just €799 for GPU with 1GB DDR3.
Since when the 5739G had only 130M or ATI 4570 in the beginning and now it comes with the 240M, that might mean that other laptops (like mine, I wish) might get the upgrade with this GPU as well.
It will very interesting to see how the 240M compares to the ATI Mobility 4650.

the 240m shold be 99.9 % = in therms of performance compared with the 4650... this if you compare ddr2 vs ddr and ddr3 vs ddr versions of booth cards...

That's what I thought but until we see some real benchmarks we can't really say, right? Even so, the 4650 DDR3 is really fast and if there is a 4670 DDR3 MXM II then that is a speed demon for that MXM category.

I was thinking of replacing my 5920G (when it dies) with the 5935G which includes the GT 130M, but this looks like a better deal. (and is cheaper) Interesting...

Very nice news nklive, at least for nVIDIA fans out there :)

That's right and 5935G uses DDR2 version of GT 130M.

Nice find, nklive! Remember, the GT 240M can also be used with regular DDR3 memory instead of the more expensive GDDR3.
