I dont want intergrated graphics and nvidia is a good name.
I was wondering if someone can give me some info on what they think of a laptop like this. I wont be running anything to hard on it for games. I figured all i would have to do is add another 512 to make it a gig of ram.
LOL it should run GuildWars no?

    Thanks!!!

Dude, that machine has integrated GPU
You need at least 1000$ to have a decent GPU :)

My quick thoughts, I'm not sure how great the graphics are, AMD's are fine, although the Core Duo and Core 2 Duo seem to be better options at present (at least from what I've read, although I'm not sure on price points).

My main question to you would be what are you looking for a laptop for, with a 17" screen this is NOT going to be very portable.

being portable would be nice but the 17" is always nice!!!
it is the price that i cant seem to beat. I can get it cheaper then what is listed.

Be careful not to fixate too much on price, buying something for $700 that doesn't do what you need is worthless.

Um, depends what cards, the X1600 ATI card is a pretty high end mobile graphics card, while NVidia I believe does hold some edge, it really depends what cards you can get for your money, if you can get an X1600 I'd take that over a 6100 any day of the week.

However check the "what notebook should i buy" section, is has lots of information (including graphics card comparisons) which should give you things to consider/ponder.

    NEVER!!
Even if X1600 is downclocked or 64mb only, the X1600 is still superior.
They are just on a different level :D

I don't know much about laptop in Canada coz i live in US.
But i believe you should ask the people in "what notebook should i buy?" thread :)
