I have the version 1.20 BIOS and I want to update to the latest version which is 2.80 BIOS. I downloaded the new version from acer but when I try to flash it says DLL_DetectionROM error? and it won;t let me flash. Has anyone else had this problem when flashing Acer Bios'es this is an Insyde Mobile Pro bios. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Can anyone can help me with this problem. I found out that I can flash my bios if I use the DOS version of the flash utility but the latest version I can find is 2.10.
The latest version of the Aspire 5500 bios is the 2.80 version but it won't flash in windows which is the included version of the flash utility. Can anyone be of help? It strange how it flashes if I use the dos version but I get a dll_detectrom error if I use the windows utility. The reason I want to flash is because after installing Vista it seems that speedstep no longer works.
    Thanks again
Ps I tried acer support e-mail they weren't any help. They just said you have to take it in to service center.
