I have an Aspire 5600. Recently it has started going crazy whenever disconnected from power. When this happens, the screen flickers on and off until the power is reconnected. Note that the computer itself does not switch off, but its the screen which goes crazy. The funny thing is that sometimes it does not happen, so I'm not sure what is causing it. Before someone suggests, I cannot access battery power options ever since i installed IE7 some time back, way before this problem started.
