I tried to format my acer 5920 to put on vista premium x64 with partition magic 8.05 (bootable cd) but it doesn't show the hdd and says Error #105 where the drives should be listed. I then tried using an xp cd to try and use the first few steps before the install procedure to format the harddrive but it then says hdd not found!
Can someone help me out and tell me what they used to format the hdd and how!!
Also, are 64 bit drivers available?

thanks for the info Qwerty, but it seems acronis has a problem too. I made a bootable disk for acronis, but once i boot it and load the disk director, it says:
"E000101F4: Acronis Disk Director Suite has not found any hard disk drives."
Obviously this aint true because i can load into vista fine!! Please help me!

I just fixed it! I had to use Partition Table Doctor to fix the hdd, and then used partition magic to delete and partition the rest of the hdd. I left the partitions ACER_SERVIC and PQSERVICE in tact tho. What is ACER_SERVIC for if PQSERVIC is for recovery?
