I have an Aspire 5517 and I have access to very few things in the BIOS, like I'm a user and not the administrator. Does anyone know how to gain full access to all BIOS settings?

If it's an Insyde H2O UEFI, then no. Most menus are locked out. If you DO find a way, tell us! You'd become a hero instantly.

On the Insyde H2O you will get this in the future, Sony versions are already being cracked and there is a somewhat more advanced menu in there. Problem is that the insyde BIOS is more like a mini operating system so the old techniqueshave not worked too well

On the positive side Acer do seem to responding to pressure and activating VT, DEP etc in latest releases although this fall shorts well short of the timing and voltage adjustments we are probably all waiting for :)
