    Function Key

    My daughter was hitting keys on my laptop a few months ago. Prior to that I was able to hold the funtion key and either the up or down key to control the volume. Now that doesnt work. does anyone have an idea how i can get that control back??

    Does the Fn key work with other functions OK such as brightness or the media keys etc... ie has it been hit that hard the keyboard is broke ?
    The "hot keys" are controlled by Acer launch manager application.
    I can't imagine what you have done to just get that to stop working.
    You haven't said what model OS etc but look in programs and make sure it's (launch manager) is installed OK.

    I have an acer aspire 5515. the other function keys work. She did something that made that one not respond.

    I think i just "fixed" it. I found the launch manager, turned it on, and now it works!! Whoo hooo!!!Thanks for the help!
