I recently bought a 4720z, which has Intel X3100 as its graphics card, and all the online specification of the 4720-4721 model says the X3100 is capable of sharing up to 358 MB of graphics.

Furthermore, on Wikipedia, it says Intel GMA x3100 is capable of sharing up to 384 MB.

On my laptop it says it can only share up to 252 MB max. Is there an option that lets me do the full 358 MB or 384MB? Or did I get some strange version of 4720?

    Thanks.

    1. Video memory over 64 Mb is pretty much useless for such a weak card.
    2. Video memory increases as system memory increases, so if you want more, install more RAM.

it was called DVMTthis updates the amount of graphics memory.
but it is dependant on how much memory you have installed.

EDIT: with 2gig i get 256mb for the graphics
