I installed FIFA 08 on Windows Vista Home Premium that comes with the laptop. When I played, it got screen lagging problem. The requirement of this game is

1.3 GHz (1.5 GHz for Windows Vista)
256 Megabytes of RAM (512 MB required for Windows Vista)
DirectX 9.0c Compatible 3D accelerated 64 MB video card or equivalent (see supported chipsets in section 10)
English install size varies by region (languages present on DVD in brackets):
Eastern Europe DVD (Eng, Hun, Rus, Pol, Cze) : 4.13 GB
Central Europe DVD (Eng, Fre, Ger, Ita, Dut) : 3.96 GB
Northern Europe DVD (Eng, Swe, Dan) : 3.0 GB
UK Region DVD (Eng) : 2.8 GB
And additional space required for saved games and DirectX 9.0c installation
    DVD-ROM drive
    DirectX 9.0c Compatible Sound Card
512Kbps or greater broadband connection for online gameplay
    MS compatible mouse
    Keyboard
Please note that 16 bit colour is not supported

    Required Operating Systems:
Windows XP SP2, Windows 2000 SP4 or Windows Vista
Note that Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME and Windows NT 4.0 are not supported.

My 5920G should fulfill all the requirements but when I play it got lagging problem once a while and it keep repeating. It's really irritating. So any suggestions? I suspect its the directx problem. However i'm not too sure. So if you guys got any comments, you are most welcomed!

Check your CPU usage...might be background programs.

Are you using the stock drivers that came with the machine? That could probably be the cause since those driver's aren't good for gaming. You could try downloading newer drivers from Nvidia and modding them to run on laptops, but I've read that doing so causes problems watching HD-DVD's.

I'm using the driver version 169.04. So it should be no problem. And I closed all the background programs before playing. I'm guessing its directx problem. How can i solve it? I mean how can i use directx 9 to play fifa 08 on my vista? Or maybe is it other problem?
