    Hi there!

im sorry for posting so many threads (different, of course) all over the forums... im just really nervous because i have to decide which laptop to buy in 2 weeks!

I thought of getting the 5920G with the following configuration:

    CONFIGURATION

    Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 2,0 GHz 4 MB caché level 2
    2048 (2 x 1024 MB) MB DDR2
    160 GB.
    DVD Supermulti (is this HD?)
nVidia GeForce Go X8600 GT 256Mb up to 1024Mb Turbocache
    LAN Ethernet 10/100/1000
    WLAN 802.11 a/b/g
    Litio-Ion 8 cells
    15,4" Cristalbright 8ms, WXGA
    weigh 2,8 Kg.
    Windows Vista Home Pemium original
    Warantee 2 years
    Orbicam: CrystalEye 30fps

the total price is 1199€ (1,636.27 USD)

    QUESTIONS

    1.-is it good price?

2.-will there be any problems running old games on vista (Lock on, Rome total war...)?

3.-should i get this or the Zepto 6324W?

    4.-is acer technical support good?

5.-Isn't this laptop Pentium 4-ish in terms of thickness?

    Thanks a lot!

    1.-is it good price? <- don't know, but I paid $1249 for mine (with 1.5Gh C2D & HD-DVD) which I think was a bargain

2.-will there be any problems running old games on vista (Lock on, Rome total war...)? <- I tried a few, no problems

3.-should i get this or the Zepto 6324W? <- whatever floats your boat

4.-is acer technical support good? <- who cares as long as you get good deal. I've owned various brands and never had to use support for anything major

5.-Isn't this laptop Pentium 4-ish in terms of thickness? <- it's thick and heavy for sure, but it's not meant to be used for portability. You can expect to have 8600GT GPU in a smaller laptop

the model you are buying doesn't have HD-DVD

Acer and Technical support... What Tec. support? you mean the number you call when your bored because your computer broke and all you want them to do is fix it; but they first have to insult your intelligence 3-4 time; call you a lier; blame the problem on you, and if you survive that they arranging the shipping. yes they have that.

in case you did not get the sarcasm, I have had issues with acer's tec. support.
