    Good software that lowers cpu temp at idle?

    Any suggestions on a good software that lowers CPU temp at idle?

    No software can lower the temperature of something.
    In Idle, the components should run rather cool unless the cooling system is either misdesigned or clogged with dust.
    Additionally, you may play with the power management settings of your operating system.

    I remeber there was some programs like "Waterfall" and "Cpu Ice" that used sommoething like "halt instruktions"that lowered the idletemp some degrees.
    I am no expert on this bur I know it worket,migh bet a couple of years back.

    You can use RMClock to undervolt your cpu, unless it`s one the new Intel I-Core ones.

    Yes,it is a Intel I-Core i5 I tried RM clock but it wont work..

    The Idle temp is between 30-40deg,so its prettylow,but if it can get lower it´s welcome..

    Oh yes, these were from the dark ages of Windows 98. NT based Windows versions do this automagically.
    Yes, these worked on Win9x.

    Lowering ambient temperature might be an option ;)
