    2nd try! Can anyone help please? I have just bought an Aspire 5715Z and the cursor jumps all over the page and makes writing a nightmare. Just this note has taken 3 times as long to write. I have had Acers and other laptops before and I have tried typing touching only the keys. The cursor may highlight and delete whole paragraphs or zoom off the page. Any suggestions greatly received. Thanks!

    Go to control panel -> mouse and see if you can change any options for palm detection.

    Try going back to the store you bought it from and seeing if they'll help you out with what is giong on. Worst comes to worst, they give you a new lappy :)
