    Hi all,

I installed 512 ram into my acer laptop today, so no have a 512 stick and a 256 stick in it. I went into the bios to see if I could change the graphics memory up from 32, and I was able to set 64 and 128 as well, so i set 128, but then I get into windows and it says that there 704 memory, which if my math skills are good, the system is only using 64, so I went back into the bios and see that its back to 64, so set 128 again, restart and see again in the bios that its only using 64.

Why have the option to use 128 when it goes back down to 64 ?

I thought maybe this could be sorted out with maybe a bios upgrade, Im not sure if it can be done.

Has anyone else had this before,

Oh and btw, my laptop is a acer aspire 3053.

    Thanks

    Nizmo

An integrated GPU does not take memory more that it needs.I think if you use some graphics app.The memory used by GPU will eventually increase.
I had a friend who had a 6200TC GPU,he said whenever a big game started, the Computer would run out of RAM (the Turbocache on Nvidia 6200 can take up to 192MB of RAM)
