Apple is just about to introduce the "Time Machine" for automated backup and easy recovery of any previous file or configuration from a dedicated backup drive. Can anybody recommend a good backup program for Windows XP and Vista? I find the included XP utility atrocious, and usually end up using a Unix-style command to copy files somewhere. Maybe Vista is better than XP--haven't checked yet. I would love to have something that worked automatically and seamlessly with my external drive.

Does time machine keep a back up of your Boot camp partition too?
I think not but I was just wondering....mmmmmm

Well I have vista and I have used 3rd party apps for back up.
I still prefer the backup of Vista. You dont need to install anything special.
And it has multiple types of back up. Like file only (music, pictures, documents) ,genera back (apps and files) or complete back up (a complete clone of your harddrive if something happens to your CD)
