    Hi all,

I'm looking for a guide on stripping down the Aspire 3680 / 3682WXMi, as I want to clean out the CPU!

I found one a while back, but can't find it again now...

Found this on Youtube, its for a 5580 but I watched it and it is almost exactly the same as the 3680. If you are just looking to get at the CPU then you don't need to disconnect the Wifi unit and a couple of other things they mention.

The Upgrade an Acer 3680-2633 Celeron CPU to a C2D T5300! thread has quite a few links to guides but some of them cost monies.

Out of curiousity, why do you want to clean the CPU? You generally shouldn't need to touch the CPU unless you are changing it or re-applying thermal paste.
