Hello ... I am Spanish and my English level is zero, read and write in your forum with google translator. I ask forgiveness for any mistakes in grammar.

H.264/AVC graphics acceleration in the series timeline.

    Download Media Player Home Cinema

    Download Haali Media Splitter

Extract the zip and open the Media Player application.

    Install Haali Media Splitter.

    Open Media Player Home Cinema

Go to options, "Output" and leave it:

    "Internal Filters" as follows:

"External Filters" add filters --> browse --> seek program files --> CyberLink --> PowerDVD --> VideoFilter:

    Filters external brand preference. Thus:

OK and close the Media Player.

Open a movie while playing and right click the touchpad, filters, Cyberlink H.264/AVC Decoder (HD264), tick "Use DxVA" and accept.

Close the Media Player to save the changes and reopen the same movie.

All this assuming that I installed Cyberlink PowerDVD.

    Greetings.

Your Spanish is very good. I appreciate your effort. You respond in English so as not to hurt the sensibilities of anyone.

I do not understand your comment. In the written text and not a single word used in Spanish. The images are in Spanish because Spanish is the operating system. My intention is to help.

My comment was not directed to you. I was asking BobbyNumber9 not to post in Spanish language.

Thank you for your guide. It is much appreciated.

What version of PowerDVD are you using? I attempted the same steps with the latest update of PowerDVD 8 Ultra (build 3017), but I am unable to add the file to the external filters list. I've done so in previous versions of PowerDVD.

    I solved the problem :)

I was using Media Player Classic Home Cinema x64, but the Cyberlink decoder only works with mpc hc 32 bits.

Change the version and everything worked fine.

    Thanks Anka.

PD. I am from Spain :)

with the actual version off mediaplayer classic homecinema you dont need the cyberlink codec anymore !!

it support intel DXVA. just select "EVR (Vista/.net3)" under output
and deselect the ffmeg versions for x264 and vc1 under internal filters
than everythinks should work fine ;)

Is there a reason you guys don't recommend the Haali renderer for output? That's what I use on my desktop and it works great.

With the latest Media Player Classic(included in K-Lite Codec Pack) Intel Clear Video is officially supported so playing blu-ray, h.264 stuff is done by GS 45.

My timeline comes with SU 4100 1.3Ghz, previously with ffdvideo decoder, CPU usage is around 60-70% for both cores, now doing only around 30% even with 1080p contents.

even i tried its cpu usage is same compared to jet audio....
but splash doesnt hve stretch option......
powerdvd 9 seems to take less cpu usage than any other even after enabling eagle eye  . seems they have good codec.....

    update
and use gabest instead of halli splitter...cpu load is now between 10 to 20% using jetaudio..

    Hi,

Just for the record. I was having problems playing 1080p mkv files, after configuring MPHC like Anka said. MPHC was dropping many frames resulting in poor playback quality. I fixed it installing ffdshow (only audio), and configuring it in the same way powerdvd codec was configured. Fixing audio codecs fixed the playback quality. Picture quality is awsome and CPU is always under 20%.

    Cheers.

Hi, I gave that a try since my MPC-HC setup is using purely CPU. Although it does "force" DXVA - "H.264 bitstream decoder, ClearVideo(tm)", it dropped over 170 frames from the Earth 1080 test video...

Of course I went with the Haali Splitter solution - as presented here...

Are your results without Haali Splitter? Please try the Earth - from pole to pole & let me know, thx!

Yeah well, it's the first time I have a Notebook without an optical drive and so I figured I'd better get to know the art of the encoded file... ;)

And I'm almost there, with WMP12 running MKVs now super-smooth! However... I still want to get MPC-HC* to work properly and on CPU power alone, the 1810TZ (SU4100) is not going to do heavy-duty 1080 videos any justice... :-/

*For the record, WMP12 is not rendering the subtitles in that "earth" test mkv file; only MPC-HC has managed that up 'till now...the

EDIT: I added the recommended Reg entry:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gabest\Filters]

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gabest\Filters\MPC Video Decoder]
    "CompatibilityMode"=dword:00000016

And now MPC-HC "automatically" uses DXVA :D I still have some issues (stuttering on all video reruns) to work out, bit I'm one step closer :p

even in mpc -hc it played super smoothly by using a trick....
    but no subtitle...
just use windows dtv dvd decoder ......instead of any other like ffdshow or inbuilt... :)

i only have VLC and MPC-HC installed (i don't have ANY codecs or codec packs installed on my Win 7 Ultimate 64bit 5820TG) and dxva seems to be working on mine.. my CPU usage is only max 10% when watching 720p mkv files
