Thanks mate
But the only HD video you had was tantra? Your girlfriend/boyfriend is very lucky
+1 rep from me cause of the video -
Thank you for your guide. It is much appreciated. -

What version of PowerDVD are you using? I attempted the same steps with the latest update of PowerDVD 8 Ultra (build 3017), but I am unable to add the file to the external filters list. I've done so in previous versions of PowerDVD.
-
I use the factory installed version. PowerDVD 7.0
-
is the power dvd version a euro ver?
-
i have the same problem, i can t chose the external filter on the list....
-
I have the same problema. Cannot add the external filter, using PowerDVD 8 Ultra.
Does anybody managed to add the external filter ??
Thanks ! -
I solved the problem
I was using Media Player Classic Home Cinema x64, but the Cyberlink decoder only works with mpc hc 32 bits.
Change the version and everything worked fine.
Thanks Anka.
PD. I am from Spain -
so whats the cpu usage u r getting...
i use jet audio and evr(hardware acceleration) enabled...
which takes 45-65%..while playing h264 1280-1080 video.... -
with the actual version off mediaplayer classic homecinema you dont need the cyberlink codec anymore !!
it support intel DXVA. just select "EVR (Vista/.net3)" under output
and deselect the ffmeg versions for x264 and vc1 under internal filters
than everythinks should work fine
/inteks -
Is there a reason you guys don't recommend the Haali renderer for output? That's what I use on my desktop and it works great.
-
With the latest Media Player Classic(included in K-Lite Codec Pack) Intel Clear Video is officially supported so playing blu-ray, h.264 stuff is done by GS 45.
My timeline comes with SU 4100 1.3Ghz, previously with ffdvideo decoder, CPU usage is around 60-70% for both cores, now doing only around 30% even with 1080p contents. -
splash player is free and it seems that utilize dxva better - the cpu load is much lower
-
but splash doesnt hve stretch option......
powerdvd 9 seems to take less cpu usage than any other even after enabling eagle eye. seems they have good codec.....
update
and use gabest instead of halli splitter...cpu load is now between 10 to 20% using jetaudio.. -
Hi ive just bought a 1810tz ....who having difficulty getting 720 and 1080 to play smoothly .... ive installed the latest k-lite codec packs 32 and 64 bit versions ....while playing 1080p the cpu is round 30% but still juddering badly ....im wondering has it anything to do with audio codecs??? ....anyone have setting for the k lites packs that work or other suggestions..?
many thanks
andy... -
Hi,
Just for the record. I was having problems playing 1080p mkv files, after configuring MPHC like Anka said. MPHC was dropping many frames resulting in poor playback quality. I fixed it installing ffdshow (only audio), and configuring it in the same way powerdvd codec was configured. Fixing audio codecs fixed the playback quality. Picture quality is awsome and CPU is always under 20%.
Cheers. -
hello do anybody know why when i playing planet earth dxva is not enabled in mpc hc??? al other files works fine with dxva
-
try splash player. imho it gives better performance and lower cpu load than mpc-hc
-
Of course I went with the Haali Splitter solution - as presented here...
Are your results without Haali Splitter? Please try the Earth - from pole to pole & let me know, thx! -
Haha u r deeply interested in this arent u?
-
And I'm almost there, with WMP12 running MKVs now super-smooth! However... I still want to get MPC-HC* to work properly and on CPU power alone, the 1810TZ (SU4100) is not going to do heavy-duty 1080 videos any justice... :-/
*For the record, WMP12 is not rendering the subtitles in that "earth" test mkv file; only MPC-HC has managed that up 'till now...the
EDIT: I added the recommended Reg entry:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gabest\Filters]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gabest\Filters\MPC Video Decoder]
"CompatibilityMode"=dword:00000016
And now MPC-HC "automatically" uses DXVAI still have some issues (stuttering on all video reruns) to work out, bit I'm one step closer
-
even in mpc -hc it played super smoothly by using a trick....
but no subtitle...
just use windows dtv dvd decoder ......instead of any other like ffdshow or inbuilt... -
Celeron 743 single core) perfectly. Running movies in 1080p without
crashes. Thanks!!!! -
-
i only have VLC and MPC-HC installed (i don't have ANY codecs or codec packs installed on my Win 7 Ultimate 64bit 5820TG) and dxva seems to be working on mine.. my CPU usage is only max 10% when watching 720p mkv files
