    Yesterday I tried to defrag the hard disk, and it got about 47ยบ temperature. Is it normal?

    What temperature maybe considered Dangerous for a Laptop's HD?

    47 is not too high a temperature. In my r3000, the HD temp averages around 42 - 45C. The operating temperature depends on the HD manufacturer, check their website for the range the hd is designed for. Generally operating temps are in between 5C - 55C. I wouldnt worry at 47...

    The more any device gets accessed, the hotter it will get. Running a defrag is very drive intensive and this will effect the temp. What is your normal operating temp on the HDD? Mine is in the mid 30s (celcius).

    Dont worry about it. The only parts that u should worry about overheating is the CPU and the memory. But you have no control over that.....
