    Boda,

You first need to tell us what this notebook will be used for. There's no way we can tell you which is better for you without this info.

The main difference better these 2 units is the Video card. The 4502 series has an ATI 9700 GPU w/64MB (dedicated memory), while the 4002 has an Intel Extreme Graphics 2 GPU w/64MB (shared memory). The ATI is a WAY more powerful garphics card which is capable of playing Doom 3 and performing better with graphics intensive apps. The Intel card is mainly used for office apps and surfing, mainly things that don't require a lot of GPU power. It will be able to handle older games and graphics programs, but not to the ATI's performance level.

Note: Depending on which country you're buying from, the video card specs may be similar (ATI GPU), but in most cases, it's 2 different cards.

Other difference could be the CPU speed, HDD size, DVD Burning and Bluetooth.

The quality of the systems are the same. Acer quality is very good throughout their line.

    Hi Venombite,

thanks a lot for your answer! I am going to use it at home, in place of desktop, mostly for internet, making fotoalbums, playing DVD... What do you think? Is it good choice?
    Thanks a lot, friends!

I have a 4002 WLMi, and I love it. Its even good for games. I play call of duty on it just fine. Plus, it comes w/ a DVD burner.

    Good luck!

    Boda,

The 4002WLMi would be enough for you're listed uses. It doesn't need a very powerful video card to do office apps, photo albums, web surfing and watching DVD's. This would be a good choice for your needs. If you can afford a system with a better video card, I'd go that route. I'd get a system that is more than I currently need, this way, it'll probably be just right a few years later.

    Hi Guys,

Is it possible to add a Radeon 9700 to the 4002 notebook? I figure if the Europe versions have it... maybe you can add one to the NA version?
