    Hi everyone,

I dropped some water, by mistake obviously, on my Acer 5102 while it was on. It was about an ounce or so. It got on the screen and inside the keyboard. I got off the water from the screen and it didn't mess it up and I spent about 10 minutes with a can of compressed air trying to get as much water out as possible. I got about 90% of it out. Is there anything else I should do and will the remaining water cause any damaged?

You should let the notebook dry out completely.. Don't use it for 10-12 hours. It'd be better if you can take your keyboard off, and let it dry. If you can't do it, just let it be. It'd dry out eventually, and if there hasn't been any damage to the internals, it'd be fine.. Nothing that you didn't know, I guess...

The first thing is to be sure to turn off the computer and keep it off until it is dry. Open the computer and after removing as much water/moisture as possible and leave the computer open in a dry environment until it is completely dry like over night before turning it back on. Plain water should not cause a problem once it has dried if it didn't short anything out before the computer was shut off.
