    HELP! need pll for ACER EXTENSA 5620-4801

    i want to overclock the processor using setfsb but i dont know what the pll is :( , i tried opening the cover but i cant find the pll on the mobo(i didnt remove parts because i am noob, also i dont have any thermal compound so i cannot remove the cpu cooler)

    does anybody know what the pll for this laptop? i tried to use random pll but my computer is crashing and it makes me nervous :D

    The PLL in the Extensa 5620 is a ICS9LPR502HGLF, but knowing that won't help you. These chips are TME (Trusted Mode Enable) locked, unless you want to physically modify the hardware... which is possible, and has been done, but isn't for the inexperienced. You need to look up the IC pinout, pull the TME high or low as needed, then modify the overclocking program to understand the proper registers. Hope this helps!
