Basically the speakers work great however when I plug any headset in the headphone jack the sound is barely audible. I have all the volumes maxed out and can still barely hear anything. I have tried multiple headsets with the same result.

Maybe obvious, but are you plugging it into the right spot? Maybe you're plugging in to the rear speaker out. Headphone should be the furthest jack, the black one. Also check the settings in the realtek audio control panel.
