I purchaced a HP dv 9335nr about 2 weeks ago because it was the best gaming laptop they had at best buy. But now i was looking through the adds and on best buys i saw the acer aspire AS5920-6313 that was $200 less expencive but a better graphics card.
    here they are compared:
(HP listed first Acer listed second)
    RAM:2GB both
    Hard Drive:160GB both
    Processor: (both Core 2 Duos)1.73GHz,1.5GHz
optical drive:dvd R/RW,HD dvd read only
    screen:17" widescreen, 15.4" widescreen
    graphics:go 7600 GT, go 8600M GT
    other:intigrated webcam and mics. both

would somone please tell me if mine is worth the extra $200 (i dont need HD drive)

I'd say it's worth $200, the graphicscard and CPU are a fair bit faster. Also, the Geforce 8600GT is a DirectX 10 card which means it'll be more futureproof.

But the main difference is the screensize, the HP is 17" while the Acer is 15,4", I think your decision should be based mostly on which size you prefer.

You have lower power C2D Aspire with HD Drive,I have hi-power T7300 C2D ,but no HD Drive. If you love to play games go with Aspire coz it have good GPU than CPU :D
