Okay, to make a long story short:

I deleted my D: and merged it with my C:. I then used GParted and re-created the D: so that I could use my eRecovery options again. Although it works in Windows it is limited, and I can't get it to work in DOS (Alt-F10 doesn't work, when I select otions, like "create a user snapshot" it restarts to let me do it but cannot ...do something... with my D :).

    So:

I've been told that it might have something to do with my partitions' flags. My C: (the main partition that has XP on it) has the following flags: boot, lba

My D: (the partition that PQSERVICE looks at so that I can use eRecovery, etc.) has NO flags. What flags does it need to have in order for everything to work properly?

GParted will let me use the following flags: boot, hidden, lba, lvm, palo, prep, raid

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks it advance! :D

P.S. The reason why I want to do this is so that I can recovery my lappy without the need for the DVDs, and restore the factory defaults or a user created image right from my hard drive. BTW, I cannot create a user image (although it is an "open" option) because PQSERVICE can't read my D: ... I think.
