Hey there! I'm in the process of upgrading my 6930G and the hard drive is naturally a good place to start; the stock drive is only 5200 RPM. In fact, here's the model and specs of my current hard drive.

My problem is that I can't figure out what SATA speed the motherboard can support. From Acer's support page, I gleaned that my chipset is Mobile IntelĀ® PM45 Express Chipset. On those two pages, I can't figure out whether it supports SATA 3.0Gb/s or not. I'm basically just looking for a 7200 RPM drive with a decent speed. Newegg has quite a few. Like this one. Would that work? I just want to be sure. :]

If someone could clarify this, I'd be grateful, this site came in handy when I was researching CPUs to upgrade to. I'm happy to say the upgrade went well. Thanks for reading!

SATA speed doesn't matter. Basically or HDDs on sale today are SATA II or III but all are backwards compatible so even if 6930G supports only SATA I these will work fine.
