i have a prob with an acer TravelMate 2308WLMi, it fell off a bed and the pin in the power input port snapped off inside the machine i can and have fixed laptops like this befor so i took it apart and resoldered the break that was all fine it recharges now like normal and turns on ect, but with 1 prob the LCD screen will not come on! it's quite weird all the plugs are back in the right place im 100% certin on it i reasembeled it 3 times to make shour, and as i said it boots up fine the DVDD ejects and all but not a thing from the screen i guess my Q? is dos any one know if this laptop has some sort of cut off after it's been disconected from the motherboard or if it needs a cd to be inserted or something else? or if any one knows a good place on the net to ask something like this?

I'm guessing that maybe the LCD connector has broken/come loose. Could have happened during the fall. Try using an external monitor.
