I currently have an Acer Aspire 5670.

Recently, anytime that I am playing a game, when I hit my Caps Lock button, it minimizes my game (I use the Caps to talk in game). When I hit it, the game minimizes and I get the "Cap Lock: On/Off" message. I think that may be what is causing the minimize. I've been using this notebook for a little over a year and have never had this problem before. Anyone have any idea what going on?

Maybe you should try to disable the message that says you have caps lock on/off. You don't need that message, cause you have the indicator on your laptop. But don't know which software does that. Porbably some acer program cause when I first used my laptop (and all the acer programs were still installed), I had those messages too (even when I was scrolling the volume-wheel) So try to find which acer program is doing this and look at it's settings or uninstall it if you don't need it.

I've looked through all of the Acer programs that are still on my computer and I can't find an option to turn it off. It's always been there but it has never caused a problem until now.

And as for just typing with shift, I use the Caps Lock button for voice chat.

Edit: I just now got it to stop. I looked around and saw somewhere else that someone solved it after ending a Bluetooth process in the task manager. I stopped the task BTTray.exe and the indicator went away.
