    Hi,
I'm thinking of getting this laptop but have one question about the height. On the Acer US site, the height is specified as 1" while on the UK Acer site it is specified as 1"/1.5". I'm not sure what 1"/1.5" means, but can anyone confirm the actual height of the 8204WLMi?

    Thanks
    Khilan

My tape measure says a little over 1.5" at the tallest point, and mine is a US version.

My guess is the 8204 is tapered - the back where the battery is being 1/2 taller than the front where the card reader is - that is how my 8104 is built and I suspect the 8204 is of the same build type.

With the screen up the height is still a little over 1", yes the 8204 is tapered, but not very much with the screen closed the front is still 1.375".

I believe the 8200 series laptop is thinner at the front and gets taller towards the back

Yes, it is thinner in front than in the back, not much though about 1/8". How it is made makes it look a lot thinner in front, but I took all measurements from the desk on which mine was sitting to the top of the closed screen.
