    Dear everybody,

I am interested to purchase the Acer Aspire AS7104WSMi, but I can not find any detailed information of this lappy on Acer site. I don't know when it was released, manufactured drivers support, and so on...

If anybody know this lappy, would you be kind to share to us your experience. OR.... if you think this lappy is not that good, could you recommend something below $1000 range and what brand would it be..

    Thank you.
    Monkey

Hello, I have an acer aspire 9500 9503ewsmi it specs as follows

    Intel celeron m 370 1.5ghz
17 inch wxga crystal brite tft lcd
    intel graphics media accelerator 900
    80GB hard drive
slot load dvd dual double layer drive
    512mb ddr2 memory
    802.11b/g wireless

as you can see it specs pratically the same as the AS7104WSMi the one your looking at its just a little bit newer case design but everything else is the same I belive. I have had my aspire for a month now and it has been nothing but great. I get really good battery life, over 3 hours more if Iam doing simple tasks. the peformance is quite good, I can play GTA vice city at 1440x900 resolution which is the highest resolution possible with generous frame rates. the wireless works great. and acer also includes a special power saving utility that you can cut back the processor speed much like a pentium M and save even more battery life. The burner in this computer is top notch and I love how its slot loading. of course the main reason I bought it was the nice big 17 inch screen which looks perfect and is very bright. all in all if you buy the acer you will be pleased with it, I love mine and its been working great so far. I belive you can get both the as7104WSMi and the older 9503ewsmi at tiger direct for a good price, I paid $829 for mine brand new not a refurb. so check them both out.
